MS Zenit: 30kVA-Generator on the main engine
For this project we chose and delivered a hydraulic generator by DYNASET with 30 kVA, to supply the ship with electricity directly from the main engine.

The ship MS ZENIT is a European barge transporting bulk materials. In addition the Küster Family offers accomodation in the bow of the ship, which you can occupy from April to October as a guest!
Before installation, the electrical energy was created with a Lister-Petter diesel with its own 17KVA generator and two other diesel generators. In addition to the additional fuel consumption, noise and exhaust gas other problems were oil, filters and other pollutants as well as additional service work.
The new HGV30 supplies up to 30kva directly from the Mitsubishi main machine while driving, and that for variable rpm. The remaining two diesel generators only serve to supply during laytime without power from the shore as well as a backup for all cases.
Reduction of the exhaust gases and pollutants made a promotion of the generator system (about 70% of the device and installation price) by the shipping authorities possible. Of course on the basis of our Efficiency report
